In the universe that I've concocted for these figures, the Yule Cat is a fearsome beast left over from the Viking Age. Long thought to be impossible to tame, Astrid manages to tame it with a simple act of kindness.
This is Doodle, an Elf who works at the North Pole's Mail Office. He's Astrid's best friend. Doodle has anxiety and worries over pretty much everything. This makes him something of a check on Astrid's more... obstructive mischief.
Jack Frost. Despite being centuries old, Jack has the swagger and bravado of a twenty something. A wild card who doesn't play by Santa's rules, he and Astrid were in a relationship. While they broke up, they remain on good terms and he's been a valuable ally of hers.

Astrid's father. Surely, Santa needs no introduction. He's the jolly fat immortal who delivers presents all over the world on Christmas Eve. But this Santa is... A little different. Centuries ago, Santa was actually the Norse god, Odin.
Santa's wife and Astrid's mom. Like her husband, Mrs. Claus was once the Norse goddess Frigga. Despite becoming Mrs. Claus, she kept her original name.
Krampus, the demon of Christmas. He's been a thorn in the Claus Family's collective sides for eons.
Gryla, the Christmas Troll. Another villain that Astrid and her allies will have to face. She's notorious for trying to kidnap naughty children to try and eat them.
