I'm upvoting you from a T430s.

t430s is the best thinkpad. I have a t420s and it's still great.

Does it play Doom?
Yes it does! Great MIDI synth onboard, ESS AudioDrive.

That keyboard is still rubber dome, isn't it?
Rubber Spring. It's a little different than a typical dome, it has a click like a true mechanical would.
Do you mean scissor over rubber dome?
Nah, this ThinkPad was made prior to IBM moving to scissor switches.
Oh shit, that's really neat. I need to get my hands on one and take it apart!

I'd be surprised if this has any value at all.
Vintage computers have been slowly rising in value due to nostalgia and supply/demand. Nice working examples aren't that common anymore.
huh. I find that hard to believe, but if that's the case I have some ancient black and white laptops from Librex and NEC!
Take a look at eBay pricing if your curious, it's inflated somewhat. I'm sure you can find buyers on a retrocomputing forums/subs.

And a full 20 megabyte hard disk!

Ermahgerd! That's over 120 floppies worth of information!
r4dical0verride
That’d be 172 MB. A floppy was 1.44 MB.
I meant a 5 1/4" one.
A single sided 5 1/4" floppy was 160 KB.
