#16 fun fact: rats have shown in experiments to have empathy and are able to sympathize with other rats. If placed with another rat in the same enclosure, but it's trapped in a cage that can be opened from the outside by a rat, the rat that was just introduced will free the trapped rat. If given a pile of treats before freeing the other rat it would always leave at least one treat for the trapped rat to have once freed, too.

Don't overdo it. the occasional one can be fun, but if you have to deal with getting rid of bugs on a daily basis you get sick of them quite quickly.
