Try out the "Dominion" documentary. I could barely get through it.
AcidZebra
Meat is delicious, I don't think there's much if any "ethically produced" at the scale currently used by humanity. I guess it depends on fuzzy definitions of "ethical".

I lost brain cells from that title.

Yeah but y'all don't know me personally and I don't care what anyone here thinks about me

I'm neither a vegetarian nor a vegan but I can accept that making the decision not to eat meat is, ethically speaking, superior. If you feel attacked by others making good choices it makes you look alot like a moron tbh because you choose to ignore the facts.
vu1f
Indeed, people who feel personally attacked by summing up the basic facts (that people can survive without meat, and producing meat causes unnecessary suffering) would like to alleviate their cognitive dissonance by using flawed logic. And you don't need to be vegetarian or vegan to recognize this. You can also just be sad that the way humans approach sustenance is based around wants instead of needs.
JunkFoodVanDame
Wanting something is not necassarily a bad thing. Just acting against better knowledge and thus inflicting harm can be judged as morally inferior. Hence I am probably worse than someone choosing not to understand.
vu1f
Wanting something that you know is 'morally inferior' is not some kind of inexcusable sin. To live a morally justified life in this modern world is impossible. You can be both realistic and unhappy with the way things are set up without having to judge yourself for it. Because we are all flung into this existing system where the general attitude is aimed at keeping the status quo, and placing yourself outside of it is only a good idea if you are ready to deal with *all* the consequences.
