My reverse memory of this: family dog gets let outside for a bit and then comes over to the window as an indication that she wants back inside. Cat jumps up on the window sill and sits down right in front of dog so no one can see the dog anymore.
I feel bad for the dog AND the cat there; idk what they were watching or why the people were filming but he went to play and was too absolute 0 brain cell to realize he'd knock the cat down... instant stupid dog panic rip
We foster cats. I have a 80lb pit/lab mutt that loves kittens. If we have kittens in the house we have to be super careful cause this normally loud ass behemoth becomes fucking James Bond to steal a kitten and go hide with it while he cuddles it and slobbers all over it. What’s good though is all the foster cats come out of our house very acclimatized to dogs. And they learn quick that they can yell at him and swipe to get him to fuck off so they learn to fend off dogs too.
Look, with all the stupid things that people record and post instead of stopping something or helping, I am wholly grateful that your priorities are straight.
Wolves basically mouth one anothers' whole faces as affection; there can be some hierarchal display in it (usually it's the dominant wolf doing the pseudo-head-eating lol) but it's not aggression or anything

That last/fence one is worrying; the dog coulda really hurt that cat and it DID react like it was hurt, poor thing

The second one could’ve killed the cat and the people just laughed.

I humbly request a video.
smax410
I’m normally just trying to pry a three pound kitten out of his massive jaws than worry about a video
smax410
To add: I do appreciate the need for a video, it’s just not the priority when I find a kitten being held hostage by him.

That first one, lol. So nonchalant. Anyone know why dogs do this? I know I've seen wolves do it to humans.

When is the funeral?
Fungdart
Because they don't have hands with opposable thumbs.
Humans do exactly what that first one did, but since we have hands we use them instead.

I think might actually be a sign of affection. My sister has a GS and he does this to other smaller dogs. No harm, just like a hello.

I worked with a girl with special needs who used to bite my head.
I figured she believed my brain was delicious, but did she like me all along?!

Heyo!
BananaForScaIe
So you're saying... if I put your head, in my mouth, and sorta do not-quite-eating things, I'm automatically the dominant one?! COOL, BRB!

Are... are you a wolf??
