DOOM 1.1 had a bug with the infighting where the cacodemon blames itself for blowing up the barrel.
Such a lovely barrel of explody goo. To waste. It wouldn't have blown from your pitiful bullet if not for my mighty fireball. --Cacodemon, probably

DOOM is an amazing game, but for all its ingeniousness, it's still hilariously full of bugs, most of which are largely minor issues, contrary to other games.

It's not stupid. It's the only thing that could have happened as it was programmed to do exactly that. The creator created this simulated universe from inside the creator's universe. The creator couldn't think of everything at the same time. And that's ok.

John Carmack is just a name. A name you created. A name to explain the idea of this one individual. The creator. God has infinite names. John is one possible name from the infinite possibilities. You don't need to pretend you have super powers, you can just believe you can do it and poof, you can do it. After all look at everything that exists. It exists because you are the creator. You dreamed of this universe and now it exists.
