UPDATE : Happy to see so many can relate :)

Side note : I live in Europe. I qaa not in contact with anyone with covid, just had some mild covid symptoms that could easily be a little cold. Turns out its just that.

No work problems, i just had a very busy weekend planned with a dinner (social distance) and the boyfriend coming over and don't get me wrong, I love them all but this is just a nice break from the bog outside world.

Stay safe sweethearts! Wear a mask, keep distance, get a test and a vaccine and be kind.

If the vaccine dose I got wednesday trips the tests at work I'm not saying a peep to anyone. Free 2-week vacation!

I took a covid test and then isolated for 13 months just in case. I did leave the house to get vaccinated though.

Good on you committing to quarantining yourself. I had a customer a couple months ago THAT TOLD ME THEY JUST HAD A COVID TEST. FFS GO HOME!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did that at Christmas. Possible exposure at work, got tested, was negative. Stayed quarantined anyways.

I came back positive two days after a negative test

I have a kid in school, and I think I’ve been tested 5 or 6 times. Those tests have gotten me out of in-person obligations. Small blessings.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I didn't have to. It took 94 hours before I got my result.

Can never be too cautious. Nice play op

4 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

i mean, if you're that happy to isolate, why tell them after 72h either? <4 weeks in> "idk man, i keep calling, but they keep stalling..."

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Best thing to do anyways. Colleague had it early this year. Test on monday, negative, test on friday positive. Be safe and isolate anyways.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did that too and I feel no shame whatsoever

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice!!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can’t you just tell people “no” if you want to be alone?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not if it's work they're avoiding.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got my negative results the morning after, carefully checked for any timestamp, kept quiet until almost dinner time :) felt sneaky

Mate of mine (works 6 days/wk) had co-worker (works 1 day/wk). Had to call her and wrench the word "negative" out so she'd come do her job.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To clarify the co-worker knew it would mean my mate would cover her shift. Also, healthcare work sucks.

People sometimes think I'm in a mental crisis, when really, I'm just taking a small vacation from them

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lucky, i had to get tested (coworker got it and they didnt tell me) and they still made me come in. "As long as you dont have a fever" bs

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You still isolate for 14 days because you can become positive even after a negative test, up to 14 days after exposure to the Rona.

Here are the US CDC Rules for isolation (positive cases) and quarantine (exposures without symptoms) 1/3

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Quarantine (if you're just exposed): https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

14 days every time you show any symptoms? Or just when you know that you have been exposed?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

14 days if you’ve been exposed (quarantine). 10 days if you have symptoms and test positive (isolation). 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Interesting! Our recommendations, being Sweden... Is basically "well... Try not to get others sick... If possible"

My wife is a PA and the medical group (a major one here in the US) advises this. Remember, the scientist who sounded the initial alarm

in China died from COVID despite his swab tests being negative (several of them).

There have been a few cases of covid-related deaths in medics where they died cos they ‘fell’ out a window.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

We were told by our doctor if you have symptoms and it comes back negative, that is true. The false negatives come from asymptomatic people.

Our elementary school principal makes vaccinated people go back to work after a negative test. I'm so glad I didn't decide to go back to

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Work this year. And my kid is now homeschooling. Some of the people had covid symptoms and still had to return.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This was waaaaaaay before rapid testing. And they didn't know what they were testing for at the time.

4 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 5

I'm not saying dont quarantine for the 14 days. Quite the contrary. I'd wait atleast 20 days. Its what my work gives us.

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

My work didn't let me back after I got it until I tested negative, which was amazing because I was otherwise out of quarantine when my 1/
