I'm helping

Technically it regarded Linux, since SE groups them together. I'm no stranger to Linux, but needed help with a specific case regarding running scripts before a particular module loaded during boot. In the end it was something I should've thought of. I was just spacing on the fact that you're still in the initramfs when modules are loaded, scripts referenced in modprobe.d install commands need to be *in* the initramfs image

Was your answer “never mind, figured it out” dated 3 years ago?

I'm doing the opposite of helping. I asked chatgpt to build a script for me, then I blindly ran it without understanding the functions it was calling.

Psh. I was bored at work and did the same thing and ran it in production. Now I am not bored because I have lots to do at work now.

I had qwen2.5 humiliate me when I asked it to summarise my code and at the end it asked if I wanted it to fix it.... I didn't realise it needed fixing... It also suggested I use better tests which is fair, my tests at the moment are "oh hey it compiled"
