They fired so so many people in the FAA that such a call be would problematic. “Well, we don’t have enough people answering the phones and the specialists that would know the answer to your inquiry are now down to like 5 people but they are scattered across the country and we’ll be lucky to get one on the phone at this time…”

The aerodynamics of modern fighters is insane, they're constantly unstable with computers correcting them to keep them airborne.
