Ahoy, apparently Android got an update and the Imgur Emerald Allocates button was moved from the 3 dots submenu on the top right to the position the upvote button has been since literally always.
Please, devs, move it between the downvote and the favorite buttons. Or between the favorite and share buttons.
It's really annoying to have it at the place we've memorized to upvote posts.
Please think of user experience before changing areas that are used all the time.

Yeah, you can pay Imgur now to not show ads and give posts special badges and support Imgur financially. It's not mandatory.

I'm confused about this change op is mentioning as the emerald is sitting in the ... Spot still and play store doesn't have an update for me

I'm the op. I'm guessing it's an A/B test then? The update was yesterday though.

It's been a week. I still very much hate it. Please move the fucking emerald somewhere else.

Just checking in a couple days later to tell you that I still don't like the change and have no adapted. It actually made me upvote less.

Because I kept tapping in the emerald logo and the pop-up appeared. So I stopped bothering.

Another check in. The button was moved back into the 3 dots for 2 days and that was lovely. Now the emerald is back in the power bar.

I still don't like it and will stop upvoting things until the emerald has been moved to another position.

Ahoy, thanks for finding and responding to my post. I'm sure I can get used to it with time - because this change is sorta forced into me.

But from a merely UX POV this is a troublesome change. We can upvote an unlimited amount of times. We can only use Allocates 5 times a day.

So we need to travel a bigger way than before to use an unlimited feature we use countless times a day.

While a limited feature sits at a very easy and quick position.
