Comic Neue is kinda nice. Actually, it's better than whatever generic sans-serif font they use on the default UI. Somehow easier to read.

Comic sans is one of the fonts designed to be easiest to read. Its something I'd have to get used to it, but honestly? I wouldn't mind.

As an illustrator, Comic Sans is quite easy on my eyes, however courier, I despise courier as much as many people despise Comic Sans…

Fact is, monospace fonts are just the wrong sort of font for illustration work. Courier is perfectly serviceable for programming, even if I prefer Cascadia or one of the other modern ones with ligatures.

You are correct, I'm admittedly superficial when it comes to Comic Sans, and yes, though I don't care for Courier, it is indeed the choice of many a hacker, so I cannot deny its validity as a proper font for programming!
