50k emails would use like 2% cpu, this was dangerous in the 1990s. The guy says you should "speed read through the subject lines" no, just sort by date and highlight them all and delete lmfao

Yep, it's not new and is still going on for exactly this purpose and hide any purchases or points transfers/cashout from the victim.
