It's a valid worry but this was a REALLY cheap kit ukulele and the neck was a good 5-6mm too wide for the fretboard! I sanded it close.

I'm just way to protective of my tools. I have involuntary butt clenches when seeing stuff like this :) Post the finished ukulele, please :)
