Just moved in. Still wondering how I can link my computer to a TV with HDMI over ethernet (cat5e), with only one ethernet cable going to each room. Is that even possible? (coaxial is used for my internet)

What you see here is 3 Cat5e with 3 coaxial cables each going to the main rooms of my small town house. Fiber optic and cable internet is coming from outside. I understand the basics of patch panels and switches.

Trying to get more info. Are you are trying to connect a TV that has HDMI to CAT5e? Or trying to connect HDMI over CAT5e to the TV?

Connect HDMI over CAT5e to a TV in another room. Only one ethernet cable in each room. Someone suggested a switch in each room + HDBaseT.

Well, if the receivers are going to exist in this room and not by the tv, then go to Amazon and look up J-Tech HDMI extender. I have 1/2

2/2 used these before to run digital signage to hallways. Plug in play literally. But you need Rj45 terminated on those white cables you got

Oh. One Jtech box goes on each side of the cat5. So one here and one by the TV. The Cat5e is the medium/bridge to make the two talk.
