As a Paramedic, coming across this article hurts my soul. From my research, Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAAL) is understaffed and under payed. Taking $1M from he budget is the OPPOSITE of what the city should be doing.

$26.2M a 3% increase over last year and the police are "displeased" with it. Meanwhile RAAs budget is $5.4M possibly $4.4M next year ...
