Whenever you use that scroll wheel you're basically tiddy ducking that mouse.

Why not put some keycaps on those for comfort? Also here's the uno reverse version of what you built https://youtu.be/QPGtX1SrTzw (skip to 5:18 to see how it works and avoid a lot of cringe comedy, skip to 6:40 to see it in action)

This is great man. I always get attached to ‘objects’ that I use a lot and never want to replace them.

Don't keyboard switches have a longer travel?

I had to switch to a wired one cause the signal interference was getting so bad, but I'll definitely trying this when the buttons wear down

Figured you would put some key caps on it for a smoother feel. L and R seems appropriate

Story time: Many moons ago I convinced my TF2 clan that I played with a track ball. It took some convincing but I was able to get it by on them. I doubled down with the : "I have to because I only have one hand, my trackball is on the floor." It was great listening to the awkward silence and shock of them trying to imagine a disabled competitive gamer not only using a track ball, but playing with my feet." Anyways, had this truly been the case, these keyboard switches would have been fantastic.

Back in 2002 I was actually pretty damn decent at MOH:AA multiplayer using a Kensington Expert Mouse Pro like this one:

I feel like track balls encourage carpal tunnel in your thumbs.

It did for me, anyway. I had that exact model and absolutely loved it. Used it for years and I guess I overdid it. Can't use them anymore without pain, had to switch back to a standard mouse or fingertip style trackball.

I have never used a thumb style track ball, but have been using my MS Trackball explorer forever and have a brand-new spare in the box just in case.
