Hi all,

I'm a solo indie developer, and I released a free app for mobile, tablet and PC/Mac called "Kinetic Canvas". This is my showcase promo video for the game.

It is an abstract art app - every swipe or touch creates beautiful patterns that can overlap and blend together. It's intended for relaxing, chilling, clearing your mind.

There are no ads - it's free to download, ad-free, free to play, no subscriptions - if you like the app, there is an optional donation.

It has about 25,000 random combinations so every play is unique!

I hope you try it, and enjoy playing with it!

Great hope you do! Do lots of swiping and play with the options menu (press top right) to change the size/speed etc.

Noticed the iPad got quite hot with the kids playing with it for about 5 minutes. Kids would also often accidentally activate other swipe functions of the iPad.

Thanks to you & kids for giving it a go :) I left menu swiping on because I felt people might need to check their emails/messages whilst playing rather than taking over the whole screen.

The heat thing is a worry though - which iPad model do you have? I think it's because there is so much going on with the graphics, it can sometimes get heavy if you keep drawing a lot.

In the options menu you can turn down "amount" which can help a lot with performance & heat.

Just downloaded it. It looks like visual asmr. Also, thanks for not collecting data.

Cool! Glad you like it. I hate adverts and data collection too. (Even though this post is kinda an advert lol)

I don’t mind when people post their creativity and it’s promoting a product. Also, your app is free unless someone wishes to pay the donation fee.

Two comments. First, I have to crank my volume to hear the music. Is that a programming thing? Second, is it possible to incorporate multiple types of audio into the app? I can see this being a huge hit for the neurodiversity crowd if some binaural style of music can also be incorporated.

The existing music is good, but some binaural style of music would make this an amazing app for isolating when overstimulated.

The music volume isn't max when it starts - you can adjust the music volume in the menu (top-right) - it's kind of hidden but you can always click in that area if you wait a few seconds the hamburger icon will appear.

I love the idea of binaural music! That's never occurred to me before. I'd love to try that.... thanks for the fantastic idea!

It benefits me too. Your app allows hyper focus self isolation in stressful environments. I’ve already recommended it to another person who has downloaded it. Thanks for the cool app. This will be a HIUGE help.

This is so good to know. I developed this at a period of stress in my life, and I wanted to make something for others in the same situation. I hope it helps you and others around you too :)
