My latest tiny creation

I build tiny houses. This one features a kitty bed and tiny guitar.

Quarter for scale ( I really need to buy some bananas...). Home includes a kitchen, dining room, pink pleather couch, cool bookshelf, tiny office, and bedroom. No bathroom though, so good luck with that?

This was a kit from Amazon with some creative liberties of my own. It was supposed to be 1:24 scale (1 foot = 1/2 inch) but it was definitely tinier than others I’ve done. Maybe 1:36?

I’ve been experimenting with polymer clay. This kit had a hideous looking cake thing with it, so I replaced that with a key lime pie. Handmade pie, plates, and spoons. Flowers also handmade.

All working lights. Normally I glue everything in place, but this time I didn’t.

Tiny kitchen. It was fake brick that I thought looked terrible with the rest of the house, so I replaced the wall paper with some scrapbook paper. Also added fridge magnets. Fruit is handmade out of polymer clay.

Main structure before adding furniture.

Bookcase and stairs. All books made by hand. I created the light fixture also because I didn’t like the one in the kit.

Building these takes a ton of patience and focus. It requires my brain to uni task and focus on just one thing. As someone with anxiety, these give my crazy brain a “break”. I also get to be creative with some of the design choices. My kids think they’re so cool that they actually leave me alone when I’m working!
