Sound on :)

I plan on using this mouse well into the future and got physically ill at the thought of having to fish out a micro USB cable every couple of months to charge it's battery. So I reverse engineered the power/switch PCB and redesigned it USB C in mind :)

This was originally made to act as a transplant PCB but since a few people have shown interest in it I am working on a full BOM so that it could be ordered fully assembled from Pcbway :)

great work and upgrade

I'd love a mouse that uses Qi charging.

Aren't there any pin compatible usb-c connectors? There will be many manufacturers wanting to do a quick drop-in replacement to upgrade to usb-c.

I have one of these too, annoying af. IT also needs special software to pair it to a dongle after it sits for a few months :/

i don't trust wireless peripherals.

Why?

they need recharging, get lost, signal interference, just prefer corded stuff

I thought I was pretty slick replacing the battery on a wireless mouse.

Why not get one of those magnetic usb cables? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/612W7936jfL._AC_SL1024_.jpg

@op How about a wired USB C mouse? I can’t find any in the market. Only USB A.

Now it the m575 can just have a middle mouse button that doesn't wear out 6 months out...

I pretty much often use middle mouse on my Logitech, so I'm familiar with that, I had to rebind my melee button to page forward

My middle button didn't dare break after it saw what I did to it's siblings.

I've replaced some mouse switches with new ones, but damn.

I love my MX Ergo. It's solved so much pain for me. I'm not crazy that it still uses micro USB. I am simply happy that it doesn't use mini USB

I use the version of this to go from USB C to Mini USB B for my PS3 controller, as I actually have magnetic quick connect USB cables but they didn't make a magnetic Mini USB attachment.

Lol exactly what I thought.

That gif wouldn't have been nearly as interesting

I groove with your intention regarding the cable. I have bought several of these doodads and have hot-glued them to a few devices - headset, webcam, etc. My current wireless mice use AA batteries and don't have charge ports tho.

I have a few somewhere but that's the problem. They grow legs 🤣 gluing them is a step I'd have to take for sure
