When I'm filming the marine life, people sometimes end up in the shot. About 95% of the time when people see the drone they just stare at it and wave. It never seems to occur to people that there might be something in the water and that maybe they should look around them. I don't get why people think they're interesting enough that someone would want to watch them with a drone to the point of not even thinking to look around themselves.

You say that but my neighbor’s kids had a drone toy that they used to fly up above our houses in the summer, and it happened to stay up longer on the days I was outside tanning in a swimsuit. I wouldn’t have noticed or thought it annoying if it didn’t make such a loud buzzing sound. We don’t live near water or any wildlife so I have no idea what they could’ve been filming other than people or squirrels

Usually I'm shaking my head :-) I can't help but think it's just a matter of time before a drone gets video of a shark attack where the victim will be waving at the drone before it happens.

To be fair to them they might just think you're taking scenic shots which is rather common here. I guess most of these people is there on vacation and for the scenery themself
