I used some old scrap plywood from ripping the shelves out of my shed. I lightly sanded and stained the wood so that it would still looked aged. We are having a water campaign right now so I thought it fit the look of an old ship. The only thing I paid for were the hinges. So it cost me around five bucks.

This is my current set up. I've only DMed two sessions so far so I'm still playing around with it. I taped the sheets to the screen until I get a feel for what I like. A cigar box for my dice tray. Index cards and a holder for my random encounter monsters, and magic items. Many many notepads, and a sheet of paper for my notes on the dungeon.

I made some dry erase initiative tags out of a dry erase board from dollar tree. It's made of cardboard so it's easy to cut, and I just glued then into a shape to fit my screen.

I use old cardboard for my maps. I also got another dry erase board from dollar tree that I drew a grid on with a sharpie. For encounters I may have not planned for.
