Constantly variable

I know the tags say programming, but from a science perspective a "constant variable" is a variable (like temperature) that is part of the equations being studied, but set constant so you only change one thing at a time in your experiment.

because a constant variable is a constant until its base value is changed; if the constant variable has a value of 1, it will always be 1 until the base value is changed to something else, usually when writing code. it doesn't sound useful until it is lol

Constant is just a suggestion. With the right pointer *SIGSEGV*

If you are talking about something like a private static final, they aren't variables; they are constants.

Everything is variable if you do it wrong enough.

Leaves room to change your mind.

Because you can change it to something else

Constant is the measurement myth

Genuine answer. A variable can have its value. After you, do that value you set is either constant or not constant over time or whatever other variables may change. Voltage in a circuit could be your variable, but it might be constant, or it could just be an initial condition that will change.

Variables aren't constants tho. Constants are denoted by C, whereas variables are lower case and usually a, b, x, y, z, or u.

Because we gave the constant a name. Pi, phi, and e are all invariant, all constants, but look a lot like a variable.

If the variable (Democrats vs Republicans, in the USA) is constant (colonizing capitalistic racist Zionists), why is it a "variable"?

Makes me think (from overseas).
