Resin coasters with red & blue inks... results should be cured by the morning! Exciting!

Some slides of all the different styles I’ve created so far. Full size versions are on my site.

Cat tax: this is my recently departed Alistair. He always slept in the weirdest positions. I miss him very much.

Cool. It's awesome to see that diffusion sped up like that

That is very cool! I like watching the colours ‘boil’ around. You should post a close up video of just that.

I love that rug.

Alistair will be sorely missed, he looked like he had a lot of attitude.

These are awesome. Gonna look at buying some off you for sure

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

Wow! Raisin coasters? Can you do that with prunes, too?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I approve of all Badger art

I was buying pool balls and they said 100% resin, is that the same stuff as this?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmmm I dunno. If it is I would bet it’s much more industrial strength- I mean I guess they’d have to be, right?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yay! Moar plastic! /s

Now there's a dapper gentleman called Alistair in heaven! ❤️

I have some of these! I bought the silver and blue geodes. We absolutely love them and they shipped pretty quick! Thanks, @OP.

So you you're posting an ad without a full image of a completed product.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

I guess this is art. I have seen this shit at trade fairs and every time, I just think it looks like lazy art.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well I don’t really look at it as art. It’s just a colorful product I make when people request them. But I think it’s fun as well.

Beautiful crafts! Also Alistair is in great company with my bebehs, causing mischief in the forever fields.

I bought some of these over Christmas for my mom. She LOVES them!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

My dumbass thought those were plates of beans in the first one.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was certain the first thing was food. Oink oink.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you just drip dye on? Don’t you need to mix it?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck Resin. It's all over my tools and workbench because my wife went through an artsy phase.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I’d be pissed too. Lol

I really like the rainbow ones, can’t say I’ve ever used a coaster (is that weird?!) but if i did, I’d buy the shit out of them!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you make wrist rests and post on /r/MK you can make a killing.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What’s MK?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mechanical keyboards.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ohhh okay. But don’t you think resin would be too hard? I would imagine they’d want something soft and squishy

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i came here to say my fat ass thought those were food

4 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

100% i thought it was creepy looking spaghetti

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow that's crazy. I totally didn't think the exact same thing. Weird you thought that. If you'll excuse me, I need to find some lunch.

You eat fungi?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hash browns right?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

resin resin resin resin I don't know guys, I'm sick of resin stuff it's just plastic

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 6

It's smooth plastic that has potential of enabling the creation of original stuff by independent people. I think it's neat.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

But we just get more coasters lol

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Same, I think I've just been oversaturated with it. It's ok I guess, but yeah, you could already get plastic coasters and jewellery.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Beautiful kitty. Sorry for your loss.?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks. And thanks for not being super negative- resin seems to really anger folks lol who knew!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Entirely too much negativity going on these days. I personally think you resin work is gorgeous !!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well thank you. :)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These are nifty, but I gave up on non-porous coasters a long time ago. Condensation will just drip down and make the coaster worthless.

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

Exactly!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These look like they have like a sort of raised lip which might help ?‍♀️

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I have some, can confirm raised lip

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

stiff upper lip?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I actually have some of these, from her. They don’t drip as they have a lid, but they also don’t hold up to a HOT mug very well. :)

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Gosh dang it. They have a LIP, not a lid.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Don't you give me no lip!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not even a stiff upper lip??

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just a heat gun, no vaccum chamber?

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Yea, I’ve never even tried a vacuum chamber- heard good things though.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

If you're doing thicker pours, want clearer resin, yeah. Need to see if I can get the SO one for her resin work.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah I like not using one but I wouldn’t say no to trying one. I still manage to get really clear cures, which is nice

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

That sounds awesome. Though I wager after that I'll be asked to get a lathe.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ohhhh I totally want a lathe lol
