This is the kind of thing I like to see in isekais. Some person with s unique but seemingly useless talent, figuring out how to break said talent and become overpowered. Makes for a way more interesting story.

Not an isekai, but there's a fantasy series set in a world where everyone gets a special talent, and one guy gets "clock-maker" as his talent. After being framed as a serial rapist and accidentally dropped into the last chamber of a high-level dungeon, he figures out how to make himself OP, just using his talent for clocks.

I would love to see that. There was one manga where it was a grandfather who got isekaied instead of his grandson as was intended. I thought that would be interesting, but alas, the writing was weak and the grandfather didn't act or talk like a grandfather. Instead felt more like a regular isekai protagonist just with an old guy coat of paint. Alas, it quickly devolved into just another cookie-cutter isekai. Here's hoping we eventually see something like your idea though, and with good writing.

And they're stuck in the video game world (kinda like Overlord) and he keeps doing his job as a bug tester. Campfire Cooking is centered around the actual cooking. Yes the MC is OP and makes an adventuring group filled with OP characters, but it is really more a slice of life story. IMO, much better than Middle Aged Online Shopper

Likely the fact that the Japanese pronunciation was correct to make the joke (refence to the episode of pokemon that was banned for giving people seizures) but is also has an actual translation (because kanji are just like that) and they wanted to give a nod to the effort put in for the shitost.

If you're interested in clever use of superpowers, I highly recommend the novel series Worm. It's an epic story and free to read online. The main character is a girl whose power is to control bugs, but she's able to take out enemies with much more impressive powers by creative use of her abilities.

That reminds me of a character in a 2000's series called Rising Stars who was a telekinetic, but can only move items the size of an eraser. CIA got a hold of her and trained her to be an assassin. She just had to be in the room with the target and she can telekinetically pinch the arteries in their heart, causing them to drop dead of a heat attack with autopsies revealing no artificial causes for the heart attack.

There is a legitimate series with close to this premise. The title is "As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World". Basically, a guy gets isekaied and his only special ability is he can use appraisal on people and see their stats like they were from a game like Nobunaga's Ambition or Romance of the Three Kingdoms. But he uses that to go from backwater noble to strongest military power in the land.

I've not seen the anime myself, instead sticking with the manga. It starts off somewhat mid, with the MC just overreacting to everyone's stats, but finds its feet a few volumes in, when his father dies and he becomes a full lord.
