Math and art fusion

One of my favorite art pieces by Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944) is Yellow-Red-Blue (1925). He is considered a pioneer of abstract art. There is just something I find so striking in how he synthesizes the disparate geometric elements and colors into a visual song. I feel a complex, dynamic, yet positive energy from this piece as he balances the rectangles, circles, triangles, edges, and arcs with the light and dark colors. He processed musical notes as color and visual images - that perspective certainly came across in this piece as well as many others.

I had one notebook that had this as it’s cover. Good times, good grades, good knowledge.
