Try a bios flash of the card, if that doesn't work, your card is toast. Either dab VMEM or a damaged core. Maybe baking, but even that is completely hit and miss.

Even then, 2D and 3D mode are completely different. Had a 1080 that worked fine on desktop but the second you booted up any game, it either locked up completely or showed garbage similar to OP.

If it displays bios, then it could be a driver or firmware issue. Update both. If that doesn't work it's probably the card dying.

Good point with the driver. Best to DDU it to get rid of everything.

The monitor is okay. Other computers and DVD players work well on it.

Mine every once in a while makes static kind of like that. I just need to restart it.
