Blocks, blocks, blocks!
Been doing some prototyping of potential puzzles, building some blockouts of some I think have potential. Mainly logical puzzles so far (get orb from point A to point B) but played around with gravity a bit too.

This is the outline one of the puzzles. Good luck deciphering all the strange symbols I use! I made a few iterations for potential layouts and had a thought, what if I could use all of them! I decided to explore the idea of having the puzzles be made up of modular pieces that could be mixed and matched. That way every playthrough would be somewhat unique, offering replayability and disincentivizing simply looking up the solution.

Went back to the drawing board with this idea in mind and broke all the puzzles I had into sections, then created alternatives for each section that could be matched with any other section. This posed a few challenges though, like having the puzzle remain cohesive across each section, but also a big issue was mainly in the amount of work it would require to create just 1 puzzle. I landed on having around an average of 2 sections each with 3 alternative layouts, meaning that a puzzle on average would have 9 total combinations. That felt doable for me, at least for now.
Here's a quick blockout for one of the simple puzzles (not the one outlined before), cycling through each section. Really not sure if this idea of randomized modular puzzles will work out but I'm running with it for now, worst case I scrap it and just stick with 1 layout that I like best.
