Have you seen “what dreams may come”? Fantastic movie

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This recording is garbage but updooted for Robin and Good Will Hunting in general.

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 3

Cooking bacon in the background?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was gonna say that! Sonofabitch!

We miss you Robin. <3

Great movie, brilliant acting

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I believe Williams ad-libbed this scene. You can see the camera shake too because the camera operator is laughing.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

HOLY FUCK MY BEST MAN USED THIS IN HIS SPEECH!! The "perfect for each other" bit, not the "fart" bit. Legend.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not crying, you're crying

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Did whoever made this clip decide to record from their TV with an old dirty sponge?

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

It's not your fault ❤ c(^-^c)

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I had expected this scene, yeah.

I remember watching this in the cinema when it came out and I literally HEAVY sobbed/blubbed so hard. I’m sure I wasn’t alone. Oooof. /1

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

My friend has a wonderful story about Robin’s kind heart. I’ll have to ask him if I may share it here. /2

A man goes to see a doctor. Doctor asks what seems to be the trouble. The man says, "Doc, I'm depressed. Simply, I can't sleep sometimes, 1

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I can't eat, I feel down and irritable most days. I just can't feel 'happy.'"
The Doctor says, "I've got the perfect fix for you. In town 2

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

tonight is the great clown Pagliacci. He's hysterically funny and will make you laugh til you cry. You will experience a joy unprecedented.3

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The man bursts into tears. The doctor, confused asks why. "Doc, I am Pagliacci."

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

i haven't actually seen this movie yet. i guess i should.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I am usually not that much into these kind of movies, but yes, yes you should.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

thanks, good to know.

One of Kevin Smith's more fun scenes.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Affleck, you was the BOMB in Phantoms, yo!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Makes me wonder what Robin William's character's roll in Hunting Season would have been.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Williams's ... Williams' ?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The latter.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

'Perfect for each other'.

3 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

Whether or not

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

First time I saw this movie I was like 17 or 18. I think if I were to watch this movie again at 41 I'd weep the entire time.

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Give it a shot. Could be cathartic.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Well deserved Oscar for Robin’s acting and Matt & Ben ‘s writing IMHO

3 years ago | Likes 285 Dislikes 3

Except this one bit about the Wife farting was an ad-lib from Robin, but the writing allowed him to do it in character.

3 years ago | Likes 84 Dislikes 1

A lot of Robin's lines were ad-lib, including every line where he was on the radio in Good Morning Vietnam. Script just says

3 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

True, but think this was one film that not as many ad libs made it to the final cut, this one's obvious as Matt Damon breaks character

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Robin Williams didn't take his life because of depression. He took it following a worsening Alzheimer's diagnosis. He was losing himself.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

*lewy body dementia, it's.. actually kinda worse than alzhiemer's.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I mention this because suicide isn't always a dark end. Sometimes it's about being freeing yourself while being lucid enough to so choose.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Slippery slope here. You can lose yourself in any mental illness. I did. I was another person. One I hated. But suicide is not the answer1/2

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

2 in these cases. I was suicidal because my life was drifting away under my fingers and I couldn't do shit againt it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Not the same thing. You can medicate or get better from mental illness. Williams had Lewy body dementia, it is progressive and irreversible.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've lost a very good friend and a close relative to suicide. First one was because of aggressive ALS, and I would have chosen the same.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I hear his voice without unmuting. I miss him so much.

3 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

That's good, because I unmuted it and can't hear shit anyway.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I sure do miss Robin Williams.

3 years ago | Likes 475 Dislikes 3

Me too.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wierd cos I clearly never met the guy, but I just feel like he's a good friend that I miss too.

3 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

There's something about his calm voice that just makes me want to give him a big hug. He always had a soul-weary sigh in his tone.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Is it just me, or has the world gotten a great deal less... worth living in... ever since 2014?

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Some thought 2012 was the end time, but it was actually marked as a shift in eras. A time of change. I'd say a lot of changing happened.-

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

-So many good people gone, so much misfortune. Not all change is good. Some saddens us all.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

My wife can out-fart and out-burp me when she wants... I have no chance :D

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That camera shake is from the cameraman actually laughing.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sonofabitch stole my fart.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Tone whiplash.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We were blessed to have him

Indeed

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The depth of Robin Williams' character is amazing.

The bench scene in the park was amazing

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you seen What Dreams May Come?

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Wonderful movie

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We all have that same ability. Some never reach it in their lifetime.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’ve never cried as hard over a celebrity passing, he had a way of making people feel connected

3 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 0

for me it was John Spencer of the west wing but I hear ya

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it made me even sadder when I heard it was suicide… but then I heard of his disease, and I felt somewhat relieved he no longer had…

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

To suffer through something that hellish. One of the few times suicide… wasn’t truly the worst way to go. Which is horrifying to admit…

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I have never seen this film.

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

its as good as everyone says. How matt Damon and ben Affleck wrote this will never make sense to me, but it's a brilliant film.

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Go watch it. Definitely worth it

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Wish I could see it first time again.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Ohhh I envy you getting to watch it for the first time :) cracking wee film and robin Williams. One of his best roles.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

same. But I guess I should.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Same here.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's an awesome movie. Should have been best picture IMO but came out same year as Titanic :/

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

More genuine emotion in that clip than the whole of Titanic.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a very good movie, even though imo Ben Affleck is kinda cringey with his exaggerated Boston tough guy shtick

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

I agree with you, random person on the internet. I only like this movie for the Robin Williams parts, the rest of the characters are a-holes

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Or more accurately, mass-holes.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That’s the whole point of the character.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I think he could have been less over the top with it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I always felt Robin was just being himself in this movie.

3 years ago | Likes 1315 Dislikes 4

Really rekt his wife then

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

The honesty of this performance was what won him the Oscar.

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Robin improv’ed this scene — it wasn’t scripted AFAIK. So yes, that’s why.

3 years ago | Likes 131 Dislikes 1

Holly shit! For real? That’s amazing. Crucial for the story, imho

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Came here to say that. That's why Matt Damon's laugh appears so genuine.

3 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 0

I think that's why i love Matt Damon. He seems like a genuine and likable guy. I've seen "The Martian" like 5 times and when I (>)

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

discovered the extended edition (10 min longer), I think I have seen it atleast 3 more times.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

His final line was also improvised. Apparently Robin would do something different each take and the director loved that one.

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

That’s what I miss about him. The genuine article. Man I miss that mofo!

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Isn't that how he is in every movie?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Hopefully not in One Hour Photo

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Matt Damon was also excellent, can't understand the hate he's getting from some people.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

He is getting hate? I understood it was only because he is constantly rescued with tax-payers money from ridicilous situations.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He is?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In movies. Not real life.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Having met and talked with him more than a few times, I can assure you you're right.

3 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

Will you share about those times? I’d love to hear about them. I miss him in this world.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You’re lucky. Can you share a bit more what it was like? What was similar to this role/scene?

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Seconded. Got to meet him when I worked in Hollywood. Just a sweet human being.

3 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

Oo are we doing the I-can-say-I-know-famous-people-but-I-am-just-some-gremlim. Yeah man Hollywood is wild I know all the people.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 23

Ok…..Pablo Escobar

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well im just some gremlin and the most famous person i know is my cat

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Wow, where did you meet her? Is she really how people describe her?

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not Hollywood. I knew him in San Francisco. Sorry your life is boring. Try going out and doing something.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Haha

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ah, the nothing-ever-happens brigade got our again, I see. Sad little people.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It’s true. I lied about working in Hollywood and meeting robin williams just for……sorry what exactly is the reason?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I can see that, it was definitely one of his roles that seemed to have the most actual genuine emotion that’s conveyed to the 1/?

3 years ago | Likes 190 Dislikes 0

After having just watched One Hour Photo, I hope you’re right.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If you haven't seen it, World's Greatest Dad is a wild ride.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Oh boy howdy was it ever.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/? audience, Patch Adam’s is the other one that comes to mind when I think of him

3 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 0

There was a lot of drama around patch adams over how it ended if I rem right.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Aladdin. They basically let Robin improv whatever he wanted & then worked around him. The movie was designed *for him*.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Patch Adams fucked me up for a while because I didnt know what it was. It blew me away.

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Just like his girl in it.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One of those instances of a actor elevating a already good film.
