Another batch of jerky tonight. This time it's venison.

Kind of cool to see the meat slowly dry out.

2 hours in.

Out of the dehydrater after 5 and a half hours. The smell during this time is amazing.

Finished product. 1 bag the venison supplier. 1 for me to "share" around the office.

Roosevelt tax.

I've made chicken jerky and pork jerky. You can also dry a mix of vegetable slices together that you have seasoned. Gotta experiment with what works best for you.

I want your dehydrated meat in my mouth

That looks delicious. I should really get back into jerky, I haven't made any in ages.

I love making jerky. I recently got a Cabela's 12 tray dehydrator from a friend who never used it. I've been giving it plenty of use! My spicy bbq and teriyaki are the favorites people get each holiday.

Sounds amazing. I should try making a spicy bbq.

I wish the clean up of the racks didn't suck so bad.

Fill up the sink with soapy hot water and soak for about 10 mins. Any dried meat or sauce wipes right off with a sponge or rag.

He wouldn't fit in the dehydrator. Too big.

Make sure that you stay hydrated while consuming the meat.
