Not even surprised. Dewalt makes some durable tools. I don't recommend intentionally abusing your tools, but I'm a clumsy oaf and have dropped my Dewalt impact drill from high places multiple times. It refuses to die.

18v with a 20v Max adapter, so it at least pre-dates their Li-ion era. I like my modern DeWalt tools, but I have gotten a couple of lemons and I don't think any of them are quite this tough.
