But guess what, bitch? I got copies of my fucking lease, and the date I signed it for the 2nd time, because they never fucking submitted the first damn lease.

I also found out my tags expired this way. I’ve been so preoccupied I never realized they expired, never got a notice or anything from the dmv or whoever sends that stuff out.

I’m home now, currently fuming, and trying to relax since my shift starts tomorrow night. The apartment said I wouldn’t face late fees while they look into this, but I trust them as much as I trust any republican today.

Fuck I need a mental break from this, funnily enough, godforsaken country.

Most places a vehicle that with expired tags is illegal to have out anyway.

If you have a right to park your car there (ie parking included in your lease) they can't legally tow it because of tabs.

If the state says its illegal to have a vehicle out with expired tags then there's an issue

Private property- they can tow it for being the wrong color or whatever else they have written in the lease.

Yup, a lot of apartments now have a clause about “properly registered cars” so people don’t move in junkers or project cars.

Not if you have a signed agreement and have paid for it

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes you can if said signed agreement say they can, which it probably does.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It might. That's a good point

They can just write any old nonsense and you're liable cause otherwise you'd be homeless? What about rights to quiet enjoyment etc

They expire every year on the same date. It's really not that hard to keep track of.

Did.. you read? He was talking about the vehicle registration tags not the lease.

They expire too in some places every year

Other deleted their comment, they were a dick about not reading and calling out the landlord not filing it. Clearly leases need to be renewed on whatever cadence they're set, registration is a yearly thing though.

Also, I didn’t delete shit. My comment was removed by someone other than me.

No, I read his comment correctly. I obviously know either one expires every year. Ex-fucking-scuse me for for forgetting this thing I’m supposed to do only once a year. I’ve had a lot of shit going on that has had my mind occupied, for the past year now.
