Gluing the flywheel rim. The thing has a 9 inch diameter and is made of pine plywood. Very dense.

Drilled a few holes and sank some screws. The cylinder is now mounted to the frame pieces. The cross head will go between the frame pieces.

Too bad these screws aren't longer, I'd like to show them off.

The crank webs are getting stained now. Building up the crankshaft will mean I won't be able to do it later, unless I want to risk glue spots in the wood.

Flywheel pieces. I wanted to scroll saw a tooth pattern on the inner rim. This flywheel is not true so I think I'm going to make another one at a later time.

This flywheel is heavy. It's almost two pounds.

Nearly a kilogram. This will be a good storage of energy to keep the crankshaft turning.
