No point if no one uses them

I bet it's a statistically bad choice to use the politics tag on your post.

They're good for searching at least.

Ho boy if you think “political” posts are annoying wait till you hear about politics.

If I did no one would see it ahaha

But then they tag it as a meme and you can’t avoid it that way either.

I hate when people alsp tag it as a meme or funny. Its like... Really?? Screw you

Unfortunately, you only end up blocking the real users posting useful content, not the shitty trolls that don’t tag.

Blocking "Politics" and "Current Events" will make it safe for you creme puffs. Mods force tags they catch. Where do i collect my check?

fyi it's also helpful to mute individual users. iirc you have to mute them via one of their comments and that'll mute all their posts 1\

You can also click into their profile and mute them by clicking the dots at the top of the page.

I've blocked a couple people that annoyed me but I still see their comments in posts. First world problem I know, but still bothersome

If a user is a serial poster and has no comments at all, shoot them a DM and then just mute them thru the chat interface 2/

If you use the desktop version, you can now mute from a post (new function last several months).
