This is me in survival crafting games.

Faked for your pleasure. I’m guessing it’s not a new concept.

See? Not all stereotypes are true

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 3

Actually if she could wrench it really tight on the hanging nail, it might work really well

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It's true. Wrenches are not sharp tools.

If the owner drew the outline of the tool on the board it would make it easier for other users

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She was looking kinda dumb with 8 fingers and a thumb.....

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait, it's not "She was looking kind of dumb with a finger and a thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead"?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We all have one of those days.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

This is why tool outlines are often painted on the board

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

An utter spanner, if you will

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Of course it's not the sharpest tool. It's a wrench!

1 year ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

ah, my favorite hammer

If you can dodge a ball...

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean a lot of people would've never figured it out

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stop trying to use the jaw. Adjusting it won’t help. Better to flip over and put it in the hole at the bottom.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, I have done this with my own tools… that I’d already been using for years…

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a wrench, it isn't supposed to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

O.C.D.....

Marriage material

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She got there eventually, that’s the important part

1 year ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 1

It goes into the square hole!

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What MANIAC sharpens a wrench?!?!?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is some beautiful organization.

1 year ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

This is so me! I've done stuff like this countless times. If something is obscure, I'm good at figuring it out. But if it's obvious it goes right over my head.

-______-

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that can't be real

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I mean it could easily be fake, but why? At first glance it's a well organized board and you'd think things should follow the trend if somebody was that particular about setting it up. Her first instinct was wrong though and so it took her a few seconds to correct herself.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Sure it can; someone who has never used or perhaps even seen most of these

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I give her credit…she didn’t stop, walk away or get frustrated she just kept trying different things until she found the correct one! 👍

1 year ago | Likes 576 Dislikes 1

I agree. Also I too do this. And I'm the tools guy in my friends group. It's a lot harder than you think hahaha.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... and has the sense of humor to laugh about it.

1 year ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 0

I really love this. Every brain derps, from time to time. When emotionally supported, the derpy brain will laugh and still learn. It will learn better then a derp moment that is met with backlash.
Let us laugh and learn from our foibles

than*, but I emotionally support you. ❤️

Or immediately ask for someone to show her. Commendable

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

if she closed it while on the nail at the bottom, it might've stayed lol. That would've been funny.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Give it a few thermal cycles and it'll fall off. Might be able to open all the way up and hang it from the head slides back and forth

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could've hung it sideways in the hole from the mobile clamp mechanism...

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

TBF, everything else on the pegboard there looks like it's hung right side up.

1 year ago | Likes 200 Dislikes 3

Seriously, first impression is that they should match, it's so well organized, it's an easy assumption to make. Now should she have gotten it after like one or two tries, sure, but hey, I've seen way worse.

1 year ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Totally, even the little clamp next to it was not hung by the handle hole. Initial reaction would be to keep things in the same orientation

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I thought she was going to pinch the nail with the jaws as she closed them.
It would have worked, not too stable but it would work.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's also several items with two or more pegs meant to brace the item, which would work too if somebody wanted to over engineer the solution.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except literally every wrench.

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 7

Someone who doesn't tool might decided it has a similar shape to all the other tools hung in that area.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You mean the double-sided ones where both ends are "up"?

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 5

I wouldn't wager that this problem solver inherently knows those are sockets, not just hanger holes

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

another might be that she did not see the hole when she was holding it.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not sure why the downvotes, you're absolutely right.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I think the Jolly person meant the Wrenches in the Top right. They are hung by the hole. But in her defence it is a little visually out the way, and the context clues people often look out for are near the object they are dealing with, which would suggest to hang it the way she initially was trying to.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's a combination open-end and box-end wrench. Both sides are useful tools, so "up" depends on which end you're currently using.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

those holes are usually functional parts of that style of wrench too though, so not up or down in that case. Same with the ratcheting wrenches below them. Here's a ridiculous example

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

great point. Fucking huge wrench

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh cut her some slack. We all have these moments.

1 year ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 2

My first thought was she's gotta be high.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

not knowing is a hell of a drug, it will get you fucked up.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I found myself saying, outloud, "it's upside down honey" and my husband in the other room is all ??? Tf?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And then I had to explain my stupidity. It's way better to do stupid stuff with no witnesses

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thank a non-existent entity every day that I'm not being filmed

Careful now. Do not to offend his noodliness.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Non-existent entity: "Of course not. It's a private show."
