He wants to use $200M to build a ballroom extension to the white house. The ballroom will be bigger than the white house itself. The concern is that this renovation is not something someone does unless they plan on staying.
Also lots of gold decor, because of course Trump will put tons of gold decor on everything while the population is suffering economically (because of him).
Apparently he's been planning it for a long time... he offered to pay $100 million to help fund it back in 2016 already, while Obama was President, because he finds the special tents used for state dinners so ugly. Guessing they said no because he wanted his name on it or some shit.
