Passion project update (I need a name for this).

Turns out the chrome cast was a bust. There was a time when you could use it as a second monitor . Now that's no more, So I had to install a usb port.

* as many of you lovely pointed out I committed a imgur sin by not posting the finish project first. Hopefully this time I post correctly.

Used a automobile hdmi port. Figured it would be nice to have a cover. When it was not in use.

After installation, it needed some adjusting. Quick wrench work did the trick.

Whole assembly was pretty cheap on amazon. Had to pick up a 90 degree angeled hdmi port as well.

Moved the chromecast, figured I would keep it installed. Just in case.

Painters tape to protect the varnish.

Marked the drill hole.

And protected the sensitive components.

Other side not so pretty some sanding will fix that.

All sanded up.

Backside installation. Had to take a hammer to it. Tight fit

Ran the cable along the back of the screen.

This project was fun and your comments/concerns were enjoyable to read.

*Over heating has yet to be an issue. I have had it running up to 10 hours so far. No issue with getting hot. A lot of you seemed concerned.

*The program Dynamic Dungeons is very fun but has a learning curve I'm trying to get past.

* This was my first attempt, I plan on making another soon for my bestfriend. And possibly working on more to improve designs and cost of making it. Such as the waste of using a chromecast.
