Planned on a pedicure for my extra day of the year. Ran into a pregnant kitti instead

Mar 1, 2020 4:45 PM

She was meowing for food. She wouldn’t come to me, but would let me close to her. She obviously pregnant and starting to show.

I went into the gas station. They had a bowl of water out there for her. The attendant said they had a bag of food in the back they’ve been giving her. I’m keeping the bag I bought in my car and since I only live a few minutes away plan on stopping by twice a day to make sure she’s fed. She let me pat her head twice, but backed away each time. Hopefully she will eventually let me pet her and take her to my home where she can safely have the babies and I can get her fixed. Anyone have any tips on or previous experience with this? I’ve dealt with this before and our local place that will fix feral cats doesn’t go outside city limits (which this is in the county).

If you can get her trusting people again. She might be adoptable. Potentially to a family who knows what they are dealing with.

I've never tried to re-integrate a feral cat into a home. Since she lets you pet her, she probably has a domesticated background, possibly

Since she’s already outside and I have 2 indoor cats, myself, I thought about setting her up a home with outdoor & indoor access to garage

I have traps, but we got hit by a tornado and bad storms. I’ve stopped by 4-5 times and haven’t seen her & she hasn’t been eating any food

Oh no that’s awful! I do hope she’s just gone into labour & hasn’t ventured out yet? Fingers crossed that’s all that happened to her. ..
