So, I was out in the woods today at work and I came across this gal stuck in a grill. At first I thought she was dead, but further inspection showed she was still alive but was very lethargic, probably from a mix of cold of and possibly starvation.
She got herself stuck in pretty bad and nothing I did could get her to try to move out, and closer inspection showed she’d already ripped off several scales trying to go backwards. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any tools to get her out and I thought it cruel to leave her to a cruel death so I put her down as painlessly as I could. This was depressing and I wish it could have been avoided. Make sure to properly dispose of objects, even biodegradable ones like metal.
