In the podcast they mentioned none of the actors knew the lights were going to flash multicolored like this beforehand. Knowing their reactions are genuine really makes that scene a little more special lol.

Why the gigantic resin/plastic thing overtop of it that adds so much height? Is it not possible to just make the plastic the correct height to begin with?

I assure you the keycap is the correct height for the function/escape key row in Cherry profile, which is the most common mechanical keyboard profile. View my account for many other examples.
I do make keycaps in Cherry profile for different rows which are shorter with a sculpted top. I don't create low profile keycaps as there's too little room between the functional portions and top of the keycap. A couple rows in Cherry profile only allow me ~1mm of headroom; low profile is more restricted.

I kinda want one, but I already have a bronze wolf head for my Esc key on my regular profile keyboard. I'd need this one in an nSA profile for my main board, but nobody makes custom nSA keys. :(
Seems to be a profile unique to Nuphy boards.

Yeah sorry buddy, I don't make low profile keycaps personally. I do encapsulations exclusively. I'm a part of a few communities of keycap makers and almost never see low profile work there, just a lot of sculpting and micropainting.

Oh thanks for the suggestion, that is a great idea! Id been thinking of doing a Resident Evil Umbrella keycap next but it's pretty overdone online IMHO.
