A pose a day: Reach

Hi! I'm AdorkaStock. I photograph myself and others in various poses for art reference. My goal is to include in my galleries of stock poses a variety of body types, skin types, and people doing various things so there is a piece of stock for everyone. I want to share my stock, which is free to use for reference, with as many people as possible in case they need it! FAQ is in my bio.

So hey, quick aside because I haven't seen mention of this on Imgur. There's some stuff going on in the world right now, like the Online Safety Act in the UK, and the issue with Steam/Itch.io and Visa/Mastercard where major payment processors are bowing to the demands of puritanical organizations regarding NSFW content. Well, Adorka, you do SFW stuff, it doesn't affect you, so what's the problem? Even though everything I make is SFW, it still gets caught up in things like the great Tumblr porn ban (My entire account was flagged, every post), automated image moderation (I get flagged every single day on Bluesky and have had many, many items on Imgur flagged and/or deleted), and even worse... LGBTQ+ content most of all seems to bear the brunt of this. These kinds of decisions affect me monetarily. Payment processors can arbitrarily decide that a harmless image I have of a polyam group hugging is "pornographic" or "obscene" and punish me by taking away pose pack earnings, or ban me from taking payments entirely... And if that happens, I can no longer make poses, which I really don't want to do.

"Porn bans" affect everyone, including me. But there's something you can do. We've been hammering Mastercard and Visa's telephone lines to urge them to change course with regards to NSFW content (and specifically, Steam and Itch) and modify their policies to allow adults to spend their money where they want. You can also put the pressure on your congresspeople by including it in your usual calls to them. ;) Every little bit helps! Let's keep the pressure on and let them know we won't stand for this.
