This is Chilape. Chile, as we called him, was an excellent rescue pup from the Rez (Native American reservation, for those who don't know). He loved everyone, and mostly lived to be loved in return. We had to put him to sleep two weeks ago.

His second birthday was next month. Out of nowhere, about six months back, he came down with extremely drug-resistant seizures. Spent four days and $5000 at the vet to get him through, and even then it was only barely. Well, they came back a few weeks ago, and we just couldn't afford to try to get him through again, as much as we wanted to.

He had as good of a life as we could give him. For the last six months he only had minor episodes while living that best life with his older sister, an ancient cat, and the weird little human who sometimes pet him very softly. He will always be missed, and he will always be loved.

Anyways, here's a standing desk I built using my "Great Works" collection, a large piece of wood, and a desk that I already had. Whenever anyone tells you not to buy more books, remind them that you have construction projects in the future, and keep buying.

Please ignore the second monitor looking like AI forgot how to do lines. I used my phone to edit out the screen's content, and it, well, it did great, obviously.

Happy 29th, all.

Not sure that's entirely the best setup there.

Probably not, but there's really no tables nearby for the kleenex box, so it goes on the back of the couch. It's been fine so far, mostly. Plus, I don't sit on the couch much, so it works out.
