I trade silver coins out of the register at work for face value.
I have like 200 bucks (melt value) worth of dimes and war nickels.before Christmas I sold 4 dollars (face value/16 quarters) of pre 65 quarters to my LCS for 100 bucks (fair deal imo)

Only difference is that it pays out like 10x the amount I've put in.
I have an absurd amount of antique silver plated stuff too..
I'm in the middle of learning how to process it/strip the silver plate, but honestly I feel bad about ruining stuff that's older than me by a century.
