That's incredibly unsafe, there should be a crank with a catch to pull down the bassinet and hold it while you load the baby up, otherwise you're bending over it and it could release and hit you in the head!

IIRC, a trebuchet is a type of catapult. This would be a mangonel, another type of catapult.
