Now, this is a Ranger. If you’d bought this, I’d be jealous. Not of that Nissan 4tracker thingy there.

I have a 2000 Ranger with a quarter million miles on it. Parents bought it new. I haul all sorts of stuff in it all the time. It's the best.

As a gen xer, 4 door trucks will always look weird to me.

I have the Mazda (b2300) version. 10/10 would powerslide through winter again.

Even the "compact" pickups these days are friggin' huge. Really thinking about importing something like an Acty.

Just helps keep the load in the bed.

I prefer a truck I could actually lay a 2x4 in
CMonster556
I miss trucks you could lay a full sheet of plywood in.
ElectricSlideOrchestra
They still make pickups with 8ft beds on them.
TurnsOut42WasASlightMiscalculation
You mean trucks to be used rather than be seen in?
TurnsOut42WasASlightMiscalculation
My dad worked from a truck most of my life. Later, after he shifted to doing a lot less of that, I was surprised that he bought a minivan. I was like WTF Dad? He said he could remove the rear seats and fit a full sheet of plywood
Exyr
Right!?

Those trucks still exist... harder to find, for sure, but they're still around. I got one!
skipweasel
Honestly, I have never wanted a truck. I just can't see the attraction.
usernametakenisthestoryofmylife
You just spelled it out - a-TRACTION.
skipweasel
I never tow anything big enough to need one.
TurnsOut42WasASlightMiscalculation
Traction? In a rear-wheel drive vehicle where there is intentionally a bunch of open space over the rear axle?
HufflePuffPuff
Obviously you don't want to help all your friends move
skipweasel
I have a van for that - and if that's not enough it can tow a trailer.
HufflePuffPuff
Free candy?
skipweasel
If I take all my business stuff out of it, still no.
