Printed a 1U and 2U box to help visualize the layout.

Pictured: 2U 230x250mm
2U will certainly work but I was really wanting to get everything in 1U

Possible 1U layout.
10GbE NIC
SAS HBA
PCIe 3.0 Switch

I would need another slot adapter and m.2 to u.2 adapter

The slot adapters are 43mm tall when sideways. 1U is 44mm, so I'd have to design a cutout to account for wall thickness.
Side note: Look at that beautiful matte PLA >.> So smooth and uniform

Using Microsoft 3D Builder for now. I also have FreeCAD installed

Love seeing a Pi get all jacked and provide a useful reason for eating electrons.

Hey can I get a BOM for this? I didn’t realise the pi5 was extendable in the way. I’m looking to make something similar.

I'll put a more official one together later. This post has a part list though /gallery/2hEHMlg

I'd advise against using freecad, it's incredibly frustrating to use. If you can 'afford' it, you should try 'buying' solidworks, I've had amazing results.
