This is the rangehood. Also, that's my legs. Also, that's some vegetable soup. Say hi to George as well, who's letting his leaves grow over the rangehood. Perhaps there's nutrients in the food smell above it?

That's the switchbox inside the range hood on top, and the 24V SMPS I added underneath. The bottom-left connector (blue, empty, green) leads to the 24V SMPS. The bottom-right connector (blue, empty, white, gray, black) leads to the ventilation fan.
This is me turning the lights on, then the range hood on speed levels I, II, II, then back down again. I pondered taking the ventilation fan housing apart in order to inspect any further cabling or electronics inside of it, but decided against it, as it looks like I might not be able to put it back together again in perfect working order and without it getting any louder.
Instead, I measured the fan in 2 ways:
1) Resistances (with plug removed from socket)
N-I: 427Ω
N-II: 394Ω
N-III: 344Ω
I-II: 34Ω
II-III: 49Ω
III-I: 82Ω
2) Voltages (with plug back into socket, obviously)
N-L: 232VAC
N-I, N-II, N-III when off: 0V, 0V, 0V
N-I, N-II, N-III when on setting I: 232V, 217V, 196V
N-I, N-II, N-III when on setting II: 237V, 232V, 213V
N-I, N-II, N-III when on setting III: 239V, 234V, 232V

Ok, but why? I assume it had all the functions before adding the extra power supply?
