The engine - 18 inches tall.

A 9 inch flywheel that needs to be remade. The eccentric and valve rods. Intake collar which holds the vacuum hose.

A hose adapter with a diameter of 1.25" feeds air into the chest.

A run using the shop vacuum output as a source of air. It doesn't run very fast.

It ran faster when I tightened some cover plates. Next step is to take it apart and apply some sealant to the pieces. Water based finish should work best.

Because building engines out of wood is challenging and fun. It tweaks a lot of people online who insist it will never work.
