Just a friendly reminder for Santa to install any large video games on Christmas Eve so Christmas morning isn’t spent watching a loading screen. PS - I just love Dolly :)

Yvonne Strahovski not Dolly

After that stunt Sony pulled? I’m buying physical copies. And if I see any bs about licences? It goes back.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

At first glance looked a bit like Yvonne Strahovski

You're a good Santa, Dolly. Love ya.

Especially considering one year some assholes decided to DDoS PlayStation servers. If it happens again, you'll still be screwed with multiplayer games, but at least most singleplayer games will be playable.

You mean 300 years ago when that dumb ass movie about Korea came out?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is Miley and Dolly related

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well hello, Dolly

those dimples, though, goodness me

DP FTW!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

God, for a moment there I thought you were going to tell me any games not installed by then would be removed from my library or something.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

God damn, Dolly was HOT!!! Always upvote DP.

My first ever new pc is supposed to show up today. My old rebuilt work desktop that still runs win7 can finally step down from main duty.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, download any console firmware updates.

Doing the Lord’s work. +1

2 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

someone suggested it a few years ago and thought I’d pay it forward this year

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I have only one +1, so I'm putting it here so you'll probably see it.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I see you

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Another tip: All 3 consoles can support multiple accounts. Less chance of drama if everyone has their own save files.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, wifi is for chumps. Always use ethernet for game downloads

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup, we got my Step-daughter a new laptop, I spent a couple hours updating, installing software I know she uses, antivirus, the lot...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Baby Dolly was a god damn fox. 😳 Older Dolly is too, but the difference is astounding.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Jokes on you, I installed mine five months ago. Now I get to fix mod conflicts. 😐

I played through it this year. Cool game. Hope she enjoys it

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Fantastic choice, I’m sure she’ll love it!

The best reminder to install Mass Effect 2 again and make a new playthrough.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And test for a few hours to make sure it works...

Yessir, got an alarm set to download Super Mario Wonder for the kiddos after they’re in bed on the Eve!

Hashbrowns "Tip hacks"

Calling them tips instead of life hacks is a pretty great life hack

Bruh start right now. Them day 1 patches are fucking huge.

I miss dropping a cartridge in, pushing Power and getting instant joy

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Legend of Zelda was my first purchased game. Nothing compares to taking that gold cartridge out, popping it in, and seeing that sweet start up screen.

*laughs in cartridge master race*

1)I saw that Nintendo put Super Mario RPG on the Switch a little while ago and got very pumped, until I saw that it was a hundred bucks. So

2)I went down to my basement, pulled out my Super Nintendo & Super Mario RPG cartridge that I haven't touched in a decade and a half, and

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3)played it for free. I loathe that nostalgia is being used so constantly to get my money.

arnt games these days like 700gb-1tb?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not that I’ve ever seen. Most people would only have 1 game. A heavy game is about 100 gigs. Some AAA titles are less than 30

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

100 gigs is the norm for AAA.

When I got my girlfriend a Switch for Christmas a few years back, I unpacked it, applied a screen protector, updated the console and every game so it would be ready to play on Christmas day, then carefully packed it all back up.

She didn't even try to play it until a few days later, lol. Regardless, I don't blame her. It was one of Nintendo's more disappointing consoles, along with the Wii U and Virtual Boy. It's now a dedicated Ring Fit machine.

I thought the switch was pretty fun, with BOTW, Animal Crossing, and Xenoblade Chronicles... Think I put in quite a few hundred hours, and if you include the time spent on it by friends and family it'd probably reach a few thousand.

Had to sell it for rent during Covid though, but it had the early firmware that supported modding, so got a pretty ok price. Else I'd probably still have it.
