It's a holdover from the old dos computer days. Back when computers had all manner of video cards with different standards different resolutions and colors. People used it as it was a really good way of testing out compatibility of graphics cards Etc. It has lots of fractal types though Julia sets plasma ferns Etc

I used to run this on a NeXTStation. The DSP was very helpful for the matrix transformations.

Ever play around with fractant and old dos program? I think it's on the internet archive and it runs in dosbox
