Foor anyone curious, the image portion of this meme is from the movie Ella Enchanted, she is magically cursed with involuntary obedience and someone evil orders her to assasinate the boy she loves... She eventually breaks the curse thru the power of love and sheer will but she comes very close to carrying out the deed as you can see.

So open communication isn't an option? Can't tell them to gtfo for a bit and let you both have some space?

At this point I've just got her figured out. I know when it's hunger, period emotions, regular emotions, vitamin D deficiency(both meanings), and even when she's gassy and not even she knows it yet.

Enmeshment is not for everyone and I get that, but boy does it help with pretty much every problem that can come up in a relationship.

That's not the human way... Which is why I'm probably an alien or mutant or some sort.

I wouldn't know either - my dry spell has been for so long it could be mistaken for California's drought data.

As a married man with two teenage daughters: no. No it is not an option. It's best to just throw ice cream at them and run.

Yeah but you're not the one in the meme with the dagger. So at some point you observed and marked some dates on your calandar and then (guessing) find whatever reasons you can to gtfo. And yeah, it's not like one would do the "open communication" part while half the partnership is unhinged.

Ice cream. Chocolate.

Hell my Dad threw wine coolers at me once. I was 14.

My bf watched a video in health class in middle school about menstruation, and in it, the mom took her daughter out for ice cream when she got her first period. Sox bc of this, he offers it to me every time I have one. You are not wrong, sir.

As a father that went through 2 teenage daughters, yep.

Pro tip, if they come to you crying best to get Mom and not try and help by making them BBQ. Melted chocolate on ice cream works but not for the talking part, that's beyond my Dad skills. Love my wife.

Ooh sweetie you know what you need? Some smokey sweet half rack of ribs, I'll get right on that love. She'll look back with fondness on that though for real

Exactly! BBQ makes everything better.
